Interdisciplinary Programs and Minors

The College offers in addition to the CCIS interdisciplinary minors and programs three additional interdisciplinary programs and minors. Each is slightly different in requirements but in all cases students may take courses without pursing the minor or the program.

Human Rights Studies is a not a minor but is a program that requires coordination with a major (e.g., History major with the Human Rights Studies program). In this case, coursework may satisfy both the major and Human Rights Studies. In addition, the senior thesis would incorporate coursework from both the major and Human Rights Studies program into the single thesis.

Jewish Studies can be pursued as a five-course minor or with six courses it can be coordinated with another major (similar to Human Rights Studies) so that some coursework may satisfy both the major and the Jewish Studies program and the senior thesis would incorporate coursework from both.

Science and Public Policy is an interdisciplinary minor with five courses focusing on science-oriented courses and policy-oriented courses.
